Students from St Stephen’s Catholic College recently represented the Cairns Region at the Opti-MINDS State Finals in Brisbane. Congratulations to Abigail Garate, Mia McNeill, Amelia Morris and Lucy Perrett who were award first place.
It was a wonderful weekend designed to challenge the students’ creativity. The team competed against the twelve other regional Opti-MINDS representative teams. Each team presented an idea which they believed will change the future. Students also solved a spontaneous challenge and a long-term challenge. The team was amazingly creative and came first for their division in the Language Literature category in Queensland.
