St Stephen’s Catholic College held their annual inter- house swimming carnival last Friday. Muluridji broke McAuley’s seven year winning streak, taking home the shield for the first time in the college’s history.
Led by Pastoral House Captains Chelsie McHardie and Jake Pendlebury, the green machines finished the day on 942 points, followed by McAuley on 876. Deacon came in third place on 772 and then Augustine on 578.
Muluridji Pastoral House leader Jake Pendlebury said it was a really great day. “The carnival was a lot of fun and was well organised,” he said.
“Participation was high and everyone was having a go which was really good to see.
“Hopefully we can keep the team spirit up for the rest of the year!”
Sport and Activities Middle Leader, Miss Deanne Morrow said the carnival was an enormous success.
“The atmosphere was wonderful,” she said.
“Everyone really got into the spirit and created some serious but fun competition.
“There can only be one winner and it was great to see Muluridji take out top spot after McAuley’s seven year championship.”
Miss Morrow thanked the Pastoral House Leaders for their hard work and dedication to their teams.
